A couple of days ago, Jennifer Love Hewitt posted a twitter message that had her fans worried. “Guess who broke her wrist yesterday boxing to get fit for season two!” the training was meant to keep her in shape for the TV series “The Client List”, airing on Lifetime. Hewitt added that due to her injury, she will be spending the following days “resting in my pjs.” She also thanked her followers for the concern, adding: “Has slowed me down but hasn’t stopped me.”
The Client List debuted this year in April, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Cybill Shepherd and Colin Eggllesfield. Hewitt plays the role of Riley, a single mother of two who lives in a small town in Texas and who leads a shocking double life. In order to ear some extra money, she decided to get a second job, as a massage parlor.
Since its debut, the series has received mixed reviews. The New York Times brings the “hooker with the pure gold heart” into discussion, using it as a leitmotiv, and calling Hewitt’s role “delicious” but adds the term “trash” to describe what the show is selling “on several levels”. The Chicago Sun Times writes that the series is a combination of “sex and silly…I can’t bring myself to sit through more of this silliness to find out if there’s a happy ending”.
Despite de negative opinion, the producers decided to film a second season of “The Client List”, which is expected to debut next year.
