“Harry Potter” star Matthew Lewis got engaged
“Harry Potter” star Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom in the franchise, got engaged, TMZ reports. The actor popped the question in November.
Matthew Lewis and his girlfriend, Angela Jones, are engaged. The British actor proposed in Paris, less than a year after they had met. TMZ posted a selfie of the two in front of the Eiffel Tower and on her hand, you could see an engagement ring sparkle. According to TMZ, they met in January, but the blonde divorced her husband – yes, she was married – in July, this year.
So what else did we find out about Neville Longbottom’s other half? Aside from the fact that she is really pretty, she works as an event planner at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. That is actually the place that brought them together.
27-year-old Lewis has not been romantically linked to any celebrity, even though he has grown into a Hollywood Hunk, from an old Gryffindork. Two years ago, in May 2015, he showed his worked abs on the cover of Attitude magazine, under the caption “From Hogwarts to Hottie”.
The actor’s latest movie is Me Before You, released this year, on May 23. The romantic comedy stars Emilia Clarke, Sam Claflin, Janet McTeer, Charles Dance and Brendan Doyle. Matthew Lewis plays a secondary role, that of Patrick, the insensitive boyfriend of Louisa, the main female character.
The kids from the Harry Potter franchise are not kids anymore. Many of them are getting ready to tie the knot. Freddie Stroma (who played Cormac McLaggen) proposed to actress Johanna Braddy in May and in August Scarlett Byrne (who played Pansy Parkinson) said yes to Hugh Hefner’s son, Cooper.
