Suspects in Kim Kardashian’s robbery revealed
Several suspects that have been arrested by the French police a few days ago in Kim Kardashian’s robbery and assault case have been revealed by authorities. One of them is her former driver.
Of the 17 people initially arrested for suspicion of connection to Kim Kardashian’s robbery case, 14 remain detained. French police have made the arrests on Monday, after multiple raids in Paris. Along with the arrests, they have also confiscated large amounts of cash and firearms.
Three days later, 3 of the 17 walk away, according to The Associated Press. Among them, there is Kim Kardashian’s driver for the Paris Fashion Week. The 40-year-old man, named Michael Madar, has been released from custody and will not be charged.
As of Wednesday, 14 people remain in detention, as they have not been cleared. Of them, some have admitted to having been directly involved in the robbery, which occurred in the early hours of the morning, on October 3, 2016. Among them, is another former driver of the reality star. The man is named Gary Madar, he is 27 and, coincidentally or not, he is the brother of the 40-year-old man who was released. Both were working for the same car service company.
As the investigation continued, on Thursday, the Associated Press reported that police found DNA from one of the arrested at the scene: 60-year-old Aomar Ait Khedache, a Algeria-born French citizen. Reports from Wednesday place the man in Antwerp, Belgium, several days after the robbery. Antwerp is known for being a major jewel trading center.
Kardashian’s stolen jewelry have not been recuperated.
A source from Kim’s entourage tells People that the 36-year-old is still shaken by the situation: “Any updates makes her relive everything. It’s still very tough for her to deal with”.
Good thing she can take her mind off of it, as she is making her first public appearance since the Paris incident on Friday, at celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic’s Master Class in Dubai.
UPDATE: The most recent reports indicate another suspect has been released.
