When asked about her much-speculated romance with rapper Drake, Jennifer Lopez says: “Of course, I love Drake”, but that doesn’t mean she is “in love” with him. Lopez played coy about Drake, at the Grammys.

Jennifer Lopez says about Drake: “I have so much love for that boy.”

On Sunday, at the Grammys, Ryan Seacrest asked Jennifer Lopez about her relationship status with regards to rapper Drake, with whom she collaborated recently. Not only that, but the two have appeared very intimate in several photos on social media, which made people think they were an item. But 47-year-old Lopez didn’t want to open-up on the subject. She said: “Of course, I love Drake”. She continued by saying he was “brilliant, talented” and “amazing”.

Of the depth of their relationship, Lopez said: “We made a song together. We hung out.”. She then described him as “amazing”, before throwing him in the friend zone, bluntly: “I have so much love for that boy.” Ouch!

Jennifer Lopez and “that boy” first fueled rumors that there might be something going on between them in late December, when the singer posted on Instagram a photo of her laying comfortably in the arms of the 30-year-old, on the couch, wearing something very casual.

The photo appears to have bothered another pop star, Rihanna, who unfriended both of them on Instagram.

Jennifer Lopez and Drake went out together a few times during December of last year, before the cozy Instagram pic. And according to E! sources, they were “super intimate”. The same month, Drake attended two of J Lo’s shows.

Now, looking back, it appears that it was casual, whatever happened between the two. Sources speaking to People confirm it, while implying that it may not be over. “It was and is fun when they see each other”, the source explains, adding that they “love hanging out and making music together” and have a lot of respect for each other.

Drake was not present at the Grammys – he was in Manchester, UK – but did take some time to send congrats to a good friend of his, Chance the Rapper for his award – he won best rap performance.
