Paris Jackson starts modelling career
Paris Jackson, the middle child of the late King of pop Michael Jackson, started modelling. The 18-year-old signed with IMG models.
Paris Jackson has just signed a major deal with the high profile modelling company IMG Models, the same one that represents a number of worldwide known names in the fashion industry, such as Gisele Bündchen, Karlie Kloss, Candice Swanepoel, Joan Smalls, Ashley Graham, Hailey Baldwin and the Hadid sisters.
IMG announced the big news on Thursday, March 2, on social media. “NOW REPRESENTING: #ParisJackson”, the firm captioned the Instagram photo featuring a high-end fashion photo of Jackson, which resembles Madonna.
Paris posted the same photo on her Instagram, adding that she was feeling “very lucky and blessed” for this opportunity.
The photo was first published in CR Fashion Book, which also features and interview of Jackson’s with Lee Daniels.
In the interview, Paris reveals that, even though she is now focused on her modelling career taking off, in the future she would like to act and also get involved in non-profit causes. When asked which cause she would advocate for, she replied that she was “very against animal cruelty”, adding that she was, obviously against fur and leather products.
Daniels brought up her mother, Debbie Rowes, into discussion. She has been struggling with cancer treatment lately, but Paris confirms she is doing better as she will soon be done with the radiation sessions. “And after that, she’ll be in remission and in two weeks her immune system will be strong enough for us to get matching tattoos.”
Jackson also talked about her father, the late Michael Jackson, whom she credits for all her inspiration, whether it is music, or other creative paths. “I would say 99 percent of my inspiration, comes from him, because he has always been my world. He is my roots.”
