Sharon Osbourne recovering from back surgery for pinched nerve
Sharon Osbourne is now recovering from a back surgery that she underwent on Wednesday, for a pinched nerve. The news was shared by daughter Kelly Osbourne, from the hospital.
On Wednesday, Fashion Police host Kelly Osbourne revealed, on The Talk, that her mother has been through an operation and was recovering well.
The 32-year-old was at the hospital, sharing through a video: “Hi everyone at The Talk. Mum’s in surgery”, she said at the time, adding that things were going “really well” and that she was “going to be fine”. She thanked everyone for their love and support. “I just want to thank you guys so much for giving her the time off to do this. Thank everybody for their love and support”. She also thanked the hospital for their care.
Last week, Sharon Osbourne revealed on the show that she was to undergo back surgery due to intense pain in her back. The pain was due to a nerve which, she explained, that was trapped between L3 and L4. She continued saying that she had an epidural and as a result of that, when the anesthetic wore off, she got stuck with a back pain that was “killing” her. The doctors told her to wait for another week, to see if it would go away and, if not, she would have to come back and have back surgery.
64-year-old Sharon has been on the operating table three times before, for health reasons. In 2002, she was operated for colon cancer. Ten years later, she underwent a double mastectomy, for preventive reasons. Her earliest procedure was in 1999, for a gastric lap-band.
Aside from these, the wife of Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne has had a series of aesthetic procedures, including a tummy tuck, a breast lift and several face lifts.
