Adobe started shipping Adobe Creative Suite 6 today, after its announcement two weeks ago. This version contains new releases of Photoshop®, InDesign®, lllustrator®, Dreamweaver®, Adobe Premiere® Pro, After Effects® and Flash® Professiona, and four available suites Creative Suite 6 Design Standard, Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium, Creative Suite 6 Production Premium and Creative Suite 6 Master Collection.
David Wadhwani, senior vice president, Digital Media Business at Adobe stated:
“Today we’re shipping CS6 and look forward to the beginning of an exciting new era as we introduce Creative Cloud later this week.”
Top new features of Creative Suite 6 include:
- enhanced user interface with simplified workflows;
- upgraded performance with tools which support Adobe Mercury Graphics functionality;
- remarkable new science which allows users to achieve tasks which were previously impossible;
All the suites are available immediately through authorized resellers and through direct sales from Adobe. Prices start at $1299 for Creative Suite 6 Design Standard and go up to $2599 for Creative Suite 6 Master Collection.
Adobe Creative Cloud™ will be available Friday, May 11. It is said to provide a radical new way of sharing tools and services between creatives, a hub for sharing and delivering creative work centered on the Creative Suite 6 release.
Creative Cloud™ membership will be available to customers in 36 countries and multiple languages, at $49.99 / month for annual subscriptions or $74.99 for month-to-month subscriptions.
