Agent J must travel back in time to 1969 in order to prevent the alien criminal Boris from murdering K and thus changing the course of history. J will team up with the younger version of K while also being constrained by a 24 hour time limit in which he can safely return back to his time.
The films premise was proposed by Will Smith to Barry Sonnenfeld, the director, during the filming of Men in Black II back in 2002. Even though Men in Black III was announced in 2009, the development of this new version moved quite slowly.
The trailer released is pretty effective, briefly presenting what the Men in Black do and ends with the image of the younger version of K. The movie promises to be interesting, and hopefully fans will be delighted. The new movie will be available in digital 3D and IMAX 3D.
Remember Frank, the Remoolian alien cleverly disguised as a cute pug? Sadly there is no sign to indicate that he will be present in this new release. He doesn’t appear on the promotional materials or the trailer, but hopefully we will get to see him again.
For now heres the trailer:
