In an interview to Elle magazine, pop star Britney Spears reveals that she had panic attacks during “X Factor” auditions and those were the cause of her so-rumored spontaneous breaks during the shootings.
When signing with “X Factor”, Britney was probably excited about this new turn of her career, but imagining how it could be and actually living it are two different things. Since she has started filming for the “X Factor” auditions, Britney felt the need for several spontaneous breaks and the media reported her acting a bit odd, arguing whether she was indeed ready for this kind of challenge.
In a recent interview to Elle, the singer admits she felt “extremely nervous” on the first day of the auditions. “I was having panic attack after panic attack”, Britney confesses. The main reason for her emotional bursts was the disappointment she saw on the faces of those who were turned down. However, in time, she understood that “by being honest”, she was actually “helping them.”
“X Factor” creator and judge Simon Cowell never felt that Britney wouldn’t be the right choice for the show. “On the first day, one hundred percent she didn’t think she was going to be able to do this”, he said. “It’s the Roman Colosseum—five thousand people booing if you say no. But I’m seeing this woman blossom week by week doing this.” Now, just a few days before the premiere of the new season of the competition, Cowell concludes: “I think she’s going to be good for the show, and I think the show is going to be good for her.”
