Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy split after being in a relationship for only a few months. According to Us Weekly, the main reason for the break up was Taylor’s very tight schedule determined by the release of her new album, “Red”.
Seems that promoting her album will take up all of Taylor’s time for the rest of the year and her and Conor hadn’t seen each other for over a month at the time of the break up. Being still in school, it was impossible for Kennedy to just pick up and leave following his girlfriend on her promotion tour. The 18 years old is a student at the renowned Massachusetts boarding school, Deerfield Academy. As such, the difference in age might as well have been yet another reason for the split up.
The 22 year old singer and song writer relationship with Conor was closely followed by media. They first made the headlines when Taylor bought a house just across the street from the Kennedy family residence and from Conor’s grandma Ethel in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. The purchase took place in August, the same month when a relative of her boyfriend accused the singer to have crashed a Kennedy family wedding at a Boston hotel.
If “Red” brought the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, a song wrote to depict her relationship with Conor, future albums will surely bring more insights into Taylor’s romantic life, as the singer made a habit out of writing about her love affairs. Swift told “Good Morning America” that she doesn’t talk about her love life, however she sings “about it a lot because it sounds more poetic and romantic about it with music behind it.”
