Lindsay Lohan arrested for assault on Florida womanLindsay Lohan was arrested for assault on a Florida woman. According to the Daily News, the “Liz & Dick” star was taken into custody early Thursday morning after punching Tiffany Ana Mitchell in the face, at the Avenue nightclub in Manhattan.

The incident took place in a club that had Lohan banned for a while in the past. The actress got arrested around 4 a.m. and spent her morning in a New York police station before leaving with a coat over her head. The Florida psychic, Tiffany Ana Mitchell, approached Lohan inside the Avenue and offered a free “reading” only to get sucker-punched by the actress who said: “I need some space”.

Lohan tried to avoid the arrest and left the club through the back door and getting inside a black Cadillac Escalade but her victim identified her in time. The police officers who arrived at the scene caught up to the star and handcuffed her. The actress was originally charged with a misdemeanor, but got three more counts added to her rap sheet: lying to an officer, obstructing an officer in the course of his duties and reckless driving.

The 26-year-old star was previously accused of lying to the cops in California about an incident that occurred on June 8th when she crashed her black Porsche into a dump truck on the Pacific Coast Highway.

Lohan is due back in court on January 11th when a California judge will determine whether her West Coast lies or East Coast recent assault constitute the grounds for revoking her probation. The actress is currently on probation after she pleaded guilty to theft charges following her walking out of a Venice Beach jewelry store wearing a $2,500 necklace in 2011.

The actress used her one phone call to get in touch with her attorney, Mark Jay Heller, who told the press that his client was once more a victim of people trying to get their 15 minutes of fame. “I can tell when I was with her this morning she was in great condition. She was certainly not intoxicated, certainly not under the influence of drugs,” he added for E! News.
