Nikki Reed will be releasing a new album of romantic duets with her husband Paul McDonald.
The actress has recently announced her intentions of teaming up with her former “American Idol” contestant beau to release a five song EP consisting of original romantic duets. The EP will follow in the footsteps of the couple’s debut album entitled “Now That I Found You”, which was released last year.
In an interview for MTV.com, the Twilight saga actress revealed her thoughts on the upcoming romantic album. The project is special to the couple, as they both took part in writing all the songs. Even though Reed was always a music fan and found herself drawn to a possible career as a singer, she hadn’t before tried to embark on such a path. It was only when McDonald came along that Reed, encouraged by his support, felt safe enough to give her affection for music a chance. “There is no greater feeling than doing something you love with someone you love. There will never be another record like this for us, because it’s as much about the message behind it as it is about the music”, she told the MTV.com reporter.
Reed and McDonald will release the new album through their own indie label, Enzo and Ira Records. The EP will be available for purchase on iTunes.
Their new song “All I’ve Ever Needed” will be featured on the “Breaking Dawn: Part 2” soundtrack, the conclusion of the Twilight saga. Nikki expects the premiere of the final part of the vampire story to leave the cast in tears. Reed plays Rosalie in five of the Twilight movies. She is sad to see the franchise come to an end and to have to say goodbye to the cast and loyal fans.
