Beyoncé’s documentary teaser is out. The film is directed, executive produced and starred in by the singer and will be aired by HBO in February next year.
The documentary was announced on November 26th when HBO promised to deliver a film designed to reveal a “intimate portrait” of the star, including access to her family, even her daughter Blue Ivy, as well as traditional performance footage.
The sneak peek released on December 3rd is a 25 second-long clip with a voice over by Beyoncé that reads: “I always battle with how much do I reveal about myself. If I’m scared, be scared. Allow it, release it.” The footage shows glimpses of the singer during rehearsal, concerts, the “Revel” gig in Atlantic City that took place after giving birth to Blue Ivy, as well as a peek at her baby bump.
The documentary follows a new trend in Beyoncé’s life, who decided to open up more to her audience and fans. For the film she promised to reveal herself in ways she never had before. Earlier this year the 31-year-old started a Tumblr blog where she posts photos, messages and impressions of her life.
The beginning of 2013 will be an eventful one for Beyoncé, whose documentary is scheduled to air only two weeks after her performance during the half time show for the Super Bowl in New Orleans on February 3rd.
During her career, Beyoncé won 16 Grammy Awards and sold $75 million worth of albums worldwide. She will make her debut on the small screen on February 16th, 2013.
