New Kids on the Block are going on tour again. One of the most famous 90s boy bands are reuniting for a brand new series of concerts.
What can be easily called the best 90s boy band, NKOTB got millions of fans with hits like “Step by Step”, “(You Got It) The Right Stuff” and “Please Don’t Go Girl”. The guys have recently announced that they will be touring once again, but with a different opening act.
In the past, the ‘five kids’ hit the road alongside Backstreet Boys as NKOTBSB. This time they decided to have Boyz II Men and 98 Degrees open for their concerts. The three groups met on “The View” on Tuesday to talk about their plans. This will be the first time 98 Degrees goes on tour in the past 12 years. The boy band got together one more time in the past, during the summer of last year to concert on a one time gig in Hershey, Pa.
The series of concerts, part of “The Package Tour”, will start on May 31st in Uncasville in Connecticut and will close on July 13th in Minneapolis. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning February 2nd , via Ticketmaster, while American Express card members get an expedited pre-sale starting on Friday.
This is not however the only performance related plan NKOTB have for the future. The five members plan to release a brand new album mid spring, on April 2nd. “Remix (I Like The)” will be the first single from the new album, which will be out in a few days. The song will be up for sale on January 28th.
“This is going to be the craziest year yet-the single, the album, the tour with 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men … We can’t wait to give fans ‘The Package!'” NKOTB’s Donnie Wahlberg said in a statement.
