Just a couple of months before the Victoria’s Secret fashion Show, the list of the Angels walking the catwalk this year is starting its completion. The tests that the supermodels are submitted to are far from being a piece of cake. Literally! As the final decision for who gets to walk the runway is made by a team of people sitting at a table, making the cut about who is “show-ready”, the Angels go through diet and workout habits changes. Here is some of the magic that they do before the label’s annual fashion show.

Victoria’s Secret Angels reveal catwalk body secrets

Victoria’s Secret Fashion show is set on December 10, but the supermodels that will be cast are already training for the catwalk. “It’s really like being an Olympian”, creative director Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou explained to Vogue UK. “They have to be in peak condition”.

Some of the angels revealed their catwalk body secrets and we have to say, they’re not at all undoable.

Candice Swanepoel – “If I work out too much I get smaller”. Swanepoel has fast metabolism, which requires her to amp her workout routine a little and eat a bit more protein during the training for the show.

Miranda Kerr – the Australian beauty and wife of Hollywood sex symbol Orlando Bloom focuses on eating fresh organic foods. “I drink warm water and lemon every morning”, she adds, “and I also drink lots of good quality purified and preferably alkaline water throughout the day.”

Adriana Lima – the supermodel famously revealed that about a week before the show she cuts all solid food from her diet. Last year, her trainer, Michael Olajide Jr., told People magazine that Lima works out four to six hours a day, every day. Her routine includes cycling, shadowboxing and rigorous jump roping.

Doutzen Kroes – the hypnotic blonde doesn’t share much of her physical exercise routine, but we’re sure she hits the gym, or she wouldn’t look to die for. Kroes said, in 2012, that after having a baby, she noticed some “things were not fitting the way they should be”. However, she keeps herself healthy and beautiful, reaching for an organic and fresh diet, which includes calcium, acai, coconut and flaxseed mix smoothies. “If [companies] think I’m too fat, I’d rather not do the job — because I’m super-healthy and fit and I’m so happy the way I am.”

Alessandra Ambrosio – You just can’t ignore the fact that during the 2011 show, Ambrosio was secretly pregnant and still managed to look “show-ready”, as Neophitou-Apostolou puts it. How did she do it? “I cut all the sugars and sweets 10 days before and I got my trainer…and we were doing lots of glutes and arms and back exercises”.
