Recently, the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star has revealed on twitter the secret behind her weight loss.
On October 13, the 32-year-old revealed: “I’ve actually been doing the Atkins & luv it RT”, in response to a curious fan.
Kim gave birth to her and boyfriend Kanye West’s baby girl North on June 15.
The Atkins diet focuses on a limited consumption of carbs and includes four stages. Of them, the first stage is the most restrictive and it takes two weeks. During this time, the dieter limits the carb intake to 20 grams per day, mostly coming from salad greens, vegetables and fruit (broccoli, pumpkin, spinach, tomatoes). Other foods allowed are poultry, fish, fowl, eggs, cheddar cheese, butter and olive oil. With each phase, more foods are included in the diet, in small portions. Soon, the dieter will have re-educated the body to eat healthy and eliminate cravings for processed foods.
A large number of celebrities have been on the Atkins diet, including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Demi Moore and Jennifer Aniston.
