During an interview to Faithwire, Heidi Montag revealed that she wants kids in the near futurebut that husband Spencer Pratt doesn’t.

The issue of not seeing eye to eye when it comes to the having-a-baby matter is not that new between Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. As early as January of this year, on Mariage Boot Camp, airing on WeTV, the couple opened up about family planning. She was confessing to the therapist that she was ready to become a mother. He was admitting that he was “baby-blocking.”

More recently, the 30-year-old Hills alum spoke to Faithwire about her plans of having a baby as soon as next year. “I am writing a coffee table wife type of book” the reality star and singer says about her current plans. Then, she adds: “I’m getting ready to be a mom hopefully next year. […] that is going to be my main priority and full-time job”, she concluded.

When it comes to Pratt, he is still not on beard with the whole parenting plan. „You know, I had to pray to get my husband to even … agree to have a kid”, Montag admits. Yes, in order to have a child, Montag relies also on the power of prayer. „it’s not so easy, not everyone can just have kids whenever they want. There is a lot of hardship and prayers and certain things you have to put into that.”

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt met in 2006, when they co-starred in Hills. Three years later, they tied the knot in a traditional church ceremony. Hills cast including Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner and Lauren Conrad have attended the event.

Baby plans don’t come in the best time for the married couple, financially speaking. Back in May, Montag was telling Entertainment Tonight that they are living modestly. “We don’t go buy designer clothes anymore, and buy fancy cars, and go to all the fancy restaurants”. This in addition to the fact that they have been living, rent free, in one of Pratt’s parents houses for the past 6 years.
