On Sunday’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kendall Jenner is working on her sleep paralysis with the help of her big sister Kim. The supermodel diagnosed herself and has been having trouble flying unaccompanied.
While Kim Kardashian is confronting the effects of the trauma suffered in Paris – every publication and every website wrote about the reality star’s robbery case – her younger sister Kendall Jenner is suffering from what she says it is sleep paralysis. Also associated with panic attacks, the cluster of psychological issues put considerable pressure on the model, who spends a lot of her time flying around the world and who is currently having difficulties with that particular way of transportation.
“It’s really ironic that Kim and Kendall are going through similar things”, says 60-year-old mother Kris Jenner, who advised Kim to try and keep her anxiety under control and give a helping hand to her younger sister, too. “Maybe there’s a way they can help each other manage their anxiety”, the matriarch added.
20-year-old Kendall diagnosed herself. I’m like, scared” [of flying], she tells her mother during the Sunday episode. “I’m freaking out because of these f—ing paralysis things. I’m scared to fall asleep because it keeps happening to me.” Jenner is describing what happens to her as a “frightening” feeling that “[her] heart stops.”
Kris explains on camera that Kendall’s anxiety isuses have been getting serious. She says that one time she had to fly from Los Angeles to London just to get her daughter on the plane from London to New York. “So it’s becoming a real problem.”
Kim and Kendall, both currently having anxiety issues, have seen a psychotherapist and a meditation instructor. Of the two experiences, Kendall seems to have preferred the latter. While the psychotherapist seems to have scared her more by asking her to trigger an panic attack to deal with it under her professional supervision, the instructor led a meditation which left Kendall visibly more relaxed.
