During the episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians airing on Sunday, Kim Kardashian revealed her struggle with anxiety following the robbery which took place in October. The reality star was talking with a friend when she opened-up about her recent emotional scars.
Kim Kardashian has been through a shocking experience last month. It is not every day that one gets robbed and held at gunpoint. And even if it were, the emotional implications of such an experience dig deeper than just the shock. Kardashian has begun to see the effects of her trauma.
The 34-year-old mother of two revealed to friend Jonathan Cheban that she has been struggling with anxiety when behind the wheel. “I’ve been having anxiety lately. […] I am not this person”, she said.
During the Sunday episode, Kim spoke to Kris about her issues, as well as to a therapist. “When you get into your own head it’s scary and you don’t want to let it get to the next step,” the matriarch said, suggesting that both Kim and Kendall, who has recently self-diagnosed with sleep paralysis, should see a therapist, before it gets “bigger than it already is”
During the therapy session, Kim said that her anxiety attacks are triggered especially when she is driving. “I think about it all the time, it drives me crazy,” she added, then continued by saying that she wanted to get passed it and go on living her life.
Kim has never dealt with anxiety issued before. She takes pride in “fully having my sh– together all the time”, as she told the audience during the episode’s interview.
The episode is walking us through the different stages of Kim and Kendall facing their issues and trying to find a way to work them out. After refusing to work with the therapist, who proposed Kendall would trigger herself a panic attack in order to work through, thus gaining control over the state, the two sisters meet with a meditation instructor and go through a calm mind-focusing session on Kim’s lawn.
