Victoria’s Secret supermodel Miranda Kerr says she fell into depression after she split from husband Orlando Bloom. That was happening in 2013, and the 33-year-old believes that she got through it thanks to one thing.
The December issue of Elle Canada will feature supermodel Miranda Kerr on the cover. In a recent interview, the beautiful Australian-native spoke candidly about her feelings after the separation from her husband, actor Orlando Bloom, with whom she has been married for three years. She and Pirates of the Caribbean actor started dating in 2007 and married in 2010. They have one child together, 5-year-old son Flynn Christopher Bloom.
Following what was presented to the press as an amiable split and a divorce that was wanted by both parts, Miranda says she went through tough times. “When Orlando and I separated, I actually fell into a really bad depression”, she admits in the interview. But she also reveals what helped her get out of it and go on with her life: the Victoria’s Secret angel describes herself as “a naturally positive person”. As many of us, she did not take this as an extraordinary feature until de split episode. She “never understood the depth of or the reality of that”, until it was tested by that rough time. “What I have found is that everything you need, all of the answers are deep inside of you”, Kerr says.
The model says that part of her daily routine consists in meditating, practicing yoga, eating healthy and taking a few moments to acknowledge how grateful she is for what she has. “I say, ‘Thank you for this beautiful day, for this roof over my head, for the fact that I have my health and my son has his health, and thank you for our family.’”
Miranda Kerr is currently engaged to Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel, while ex-husband Bloom, 39, is dating pop singer Katy Perry.
