Several articles in the press have mentioned that Lady Gaga agreed to meet with Piers Morgan after he questioned the rape she has mentioned traumatized her at a young age. In reality, she didn’t agree to it, because she wasn’t invited. It was her who offered.
It depends on the perspective, but the way tweeting went between Lady Gaga and Piers Morgan these past days, here is how it looks.
On December 11, Morgan questioned Gaga’s rape, saying that neither she, nor Madonna, who had similar claims, filed a police report. “No. Lady Gaga & Madonna have both made ALLEGATIONS of rape many years after the event. No police complaint, no charges, no court case”, he tweeted.
On December 13, Lady Gaga responds to his tweet, offering to talk to him about that and much more: “@piersmorgan would also love to talk with you about PTSD, that it’s not just a “military” disorder. There is a mental health youth epidemic.
Morgan accepted the challenge.

After they agreed to meet, the British TV personality made a joke that did not sit well with the eccentric singer. He started off the text by saying he admired her but added: “Should be a fascinating debate. I’ll press my meat suit.”
“@piersmorgan if you continue to shame me in the process of kindly agreeing to interview w/ u I’ll happily do the interview with someone else”, Gaga replied.
“If you’re big enough to do this, I’m big enough to play fair too”, tweeted Morgan.
Lady Gaga’s rape story is not news, but she did reveals about a week ago that the traumatic experience she has been through at only 19 years of age, has dug deep into her psyche. “It didn’t affect me as much right after as it did about four or five years later. It hit me so hard”, the pop icon said in an interview for the Today show, on December 5. It was then that she revealed that she is suffering from PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder).
