Steve Harvey explained the reason behind his meeting with Trump and described the president-elect as “congenial and sincere”. The Family Feud host and the former Apprentice host sat down at Trump Tower on Friday.
Television show host Steve Harvey got slammed for his meeting with Donald Trump on Friday. For example, actress Constance Wu, whom you can see in the comedy Fresh Off The Boat, tweeted that Harvey had a “small-brained perception of human love”:
.@IAmSteveHarvey the narrow limits of ur small brained perception of human love are gross & untrue. It's not even funny. U just sound dumb.

Meanwhile, Lauren Warren wrote that he sold his soul:
"Name someone who just sold their soul."
"OOOH! Steve Harvey!"

Harvey explained on Twitter and on Facebook why he met with Donald Trump and how their meeting went. But before that, the TV personality emphasized that his initiative was inspired by former president Barack Obama, who “asked that all of us sit down and talk to one another in order to move our country forward.”
59-year-old Harvey is glad to have met with Trump, as he found him “congenial and sincere” in his interest in strategies for city development and ways to better urban communities. During their talk about helping with situations in the inner cities, Trump called Ben Carson and put him in dialog with Harvey. He added: “[Donald Trump] is very open to my mentoring efforts across the country.”
“I feel something really great could come out of this”, the Steve Harvey talk show host concluded, adding that he would meet again with Trump anytime.
Steve Harvey is just the latest celebrity to have met with the President-elect. Trump has previously had meetings with rap artist Kanye West, Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio and NFL players Ray Lewis and Jim Brown.
