Double baby news from Thomas Rhett!

The country star and his wife, Lauren, are pregnant and adopting a baby at the same time.

Thomas Rhett, 26,  shared exciting news with his Facebook fans. The Die A Happy Man singer announced that he and his wife of almost five years, Lauren, are expecting their first baby. But the surprise didn’t stop here. He added that they are also in the process of expanding their family by adoption. The couple is soon going to be the mom and dad for a child coming all the way from Africa.

“We are so happy to announce that we are pregnant and we are in the process of adopting a child from Africa! Safe to say life is about to get crazy! ”, the singer captioned the photo he posted on Facebook, in which he and his wife are holding golden balloons in the shape of four letters: b, a, b, y.

Lauren, 27, posted the same photo on Twitter, saying: “OH BABY! ? actually…BABIES! Our hearts are exploding with happiness for y’all to meet our new baby who we are bringing home from Africa soon????”. She added that the baby from Africa was hopefully going to join the family first and prepare to become a big brother to a little girl or a little boy, that she is currently expecting.

Thomas and Lauren had started the adoption process ten months ago, when they came to the mutual decision to stop trying to get pregnant. You can imagine their surprise in December, when they found out they had a little one on the way! “I was 100 percent sure I was not pregnant,” Lauren told People. She was feeling sick, but blamed it on whatever happened during their trip in Tanzania, that had just ended. “I was convinced it was food poisoning.”

“Food poisoning” has two arms, two legs and all that and will meet mom and dad probably in September.

Since finding out the good news, Rhett took his future role as a parent extremely seriously and is preparing for it as of now. He said he already asked for the advice of other celebrity friends who have kids. “I got a few tips from Dierks [Bentley]”, he reveals. “He was like, ‘Well, you’re not going to get any sleep and Red Bull is going to be your best friend!’”
