Model Brandy Rusher, a finalist in the popular reality competition America’s Next Top Model, is in critical state in the hospital after a gunshot. Two other people died and several others were wounded in the attack, which took place in Houston, on Sunday.
America’s Next Top Model former contestant Brandy Rusher is currently in the intensive care unit, in a hospital in Houston. The news was first reported by TMZ.
The 32-year-old was just one of the victims of a shooting that took place at the Haverstock Hill apartments on Sunday at around 6:30 p.m. Three other people are in critical yet stable condition: one woman and two men. Two other people died.
Aside from Rusher, only one other person has been officially identified: the man’s name is Christopher Beatty and he is 33-years-old.
Police officials have not given more details on the victims except that one of the women has been shot in the leg and that three of the victims are relatives.
As for the shooters and the moment preceding the shooting, police say the following: three men arrived at the apartment complex and the previously-mentioned hour. They were in a white car with four doors. Two of them got out of the car and very soon started an altercation with those who became victims.
The argument became so heated that, at one point, one of the two men went back to the car, opened the trunk and took out a semi-automatic rifle. He opened fire, injured the five people and then got back in the car and disappeared from the scene.
UPDATE: Police has revealed that the man identified as Christopher Beatty passed away. The man who was killed at the scene was identified as being Brandy’s brother, Wayne Rusher.
