In 1987, the man, working as a nurse’s aide in Kentucky, pleaded guilty to 37 murders, to avoid capital punishment. He was convicted to 15 life sentences. Later on, he confessed to having killed at least 50 people.

Also known as The Angel of Death, Harvey was killing hospital patients using a diversity of methods, such as turning off ventilators, suffocating them, giving them infected fluids, poisoning them with arsenic or cyanide that he put either in their food, or through shots.

But his victims were not only patients. His boyfriend Carl Hoeweler became his victim when Harvey, jealous that he might have been cheated on, poisoned Hoeweler with arsenic on a regular basis until he died. The he killed two neighbors, with the same substance, because he tought they put his relationship in danger.

Havrey also killed his brother-in-law by offering him wood alcohol instead or vodka.
