Blac Chyna will not own the rights to the name Angela Kardashian.

Blac Chyna will not officially be Angela Kardashian. TMZ reports that Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian have successfully blocked Rob Kardashian’s baby mama to use the name of Angela Renee Kardashian.

Back in December, Bac Chyna (real name Angela Renee) petitioned to own the rights to her future legal name, Angela Kardashian, if she married Rob Kardashian. But the lawyers for the Kardashian sisters opposed the petition, claiming that Rob’s wife wants to profit off the name. At the time, sources told TMZ that the sisters don’t have something against Chyna, it is strictly business.

The lawyers for the Kardashians say that adding another women to the brand will dilute its power that momager Kris Jenner and her team worked hard on achieving.  “It will suffer damage including irreparable injury to their reputation and goodwill”, their response was in December.

Sources mentioned by People say that Blac Chyna is not seeking to do anything harmful. “She wants to trademark the name because it will be her name when she gets married and she wants to protect it.

Chyna’s lawyer, Walter Mosley, argued that even though it is understandable and expected for celebrities to protect their trademarks, this was the first case he had seen that has ever been opposed and added that it must be just a misunderstanding. After all, it’s actually her name, it’s not a poaching”, he concluded.

Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian have split and gone back together several times. The latest rumors say that they have again split in February, after having reconciled over Christmas. The two started dating in January 2016. Chyna, 28, announced she was pregnant in May and gave birth to a daughter, Dream, in November 2016. This is the first child for Rob, 30, and the second for her. Chyna shares 4-year-old son Kairo with rapper Tyga, 27.
