Kim Kardashian spoke to Ellen DeGeneres about her mother’s former husband Bruce Jenner, who, in the past years, has become the face of transgender. The reality star says that the Caitlyn Jenner memoir hurts her mom, who has already “been through so much”.
As you may already know, Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, has released her memoir, called The Secrets of My Life. The book was released earlier this month. In it, the 67-year-old decathlon Olympian-turned-TV personality talks about the struggle with living in a male body with a hidden female identity.
Jenner also says that she has undergone gender reassignment in January of this year, thus making her transition complete.
While Caitlyn is feeling “wonderful” and “liberated” at the end of this decades-long road, ex-wife Kris Jenner couldn’t be more hurt. The reality star and mother of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, is stunned and disappointed by the “secrets” that are revealed in the Caitlyn Jenner memoir. On an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the 61-year-old complained of the fact that there were many lies within those pages. One of them, which upset her greatly, was that Caitlyn had said that she was aware of her gender struggle long before the media knew about it.
“All through the book, Kris knew. ‘Kris knew before I even made love to her.’ I’m like, ‘What?'”

Now, speaking to Ellen DeGeneres on her show on Thursday, Kim Kardashian opens-up about her feelings on the situation:
“My heart breaks for my mom because I feel like she’s been through so much”, the reality star tells DeGeneres, adding that Caitlyn has written “things that aren’t truthful”. She continued: “It’s taken her a really long time to be honest with herself, so I don’t expect her to be honest about my mom now.”
The 36-year-old mother-of-two outlined that Caitlyn has taught her a lot about character while growing-up and she will always have love for her but she does not have respect for the character her former stepdad is showing now. “Tell your story, but just don’t bash other people”, Kim concluded.
