On May 2, Janet Jackson posted a video on social media in which she addresses a couple of things that are happening in her life at present and that are of much public interest. The singer starts by saying that she has gained some pounds after the birth of her only son, but she is extremely happy and grateful to have a healthy baby.

“I thank god for him, he’s so healthy, so beautiful, so sweet, so loving, such a happy baby.”

She continued by confirming the separation news. “Yes, I separated from my husband. We are in court and the rest is in God’s hands.” She and billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana split approximately three months after their son was born.

And last, but not least, she reassured her fans that she will continue touring, but she has changed the name of the tour from Unbreakable to The State of The World. As she explains, it is not about politics, it’s about people, the world, relationships and…just love.”

The Unbreakable World Tour started on August 31, 2015. Later that year, a number of performances in North America were postponed. In March 2016, the concerts in Europe were also postponed. The explanation came the following month, when 50-year-old Janet announced her plans of becoming pregnant.

Through the video posted on May 1 on social media, Janet Jackson officially announced her comeback. She will resume touring this fall, starting September 7.
