31-year-old singer and songwriter Charlotte Church is going through a sad time. She shared with her Twitter followers that she recently suffered a miscarriage and she asked for privacy these days.

“1 of 2 Charlotte and Jonny are very sad to announce that they lost their baby. Now is a time for grieving and being together as a family”, her first tweet on the matter read.

“2 of 2 We kindly ask everyone to respect that peace.”

Church and her partner, musician Johnny Powell, announced they were expecting back in May. The two started dating in 2010.

Prior to her current relationship, Charlotte was dating rugby player Gavin Henson. The two got together in 2005 and, later that year, they moved together in a freshly-bought property in the Vale of Glamorgan in the village of St. Bride’s Major, in Wales.
