Yesterday, Leslie Jones took to Twitter to explain why there never was a secret boyfriend, as rumoured. “Men don’t like me!” the SNL star tweeted.
Leslie Jones picked the fourth of July to clear the water when it comes to her single status. The Saturday Night Life comedian tweeted: “Just so everyone knows. There was never a secret boyfriend. I have terrible luck with men. Real talk”. She continued: “They do not like me lol!!”

The secret boyfriend speculation came after she appeared on Conan last week and hinted she was seeing someone far from the eye of the press. “It’s a secret, so I don’t want everybody bothering him”, the 39-year-old told show host Conan O’Brien. But it was just a joke, she says.
In late March, Jones was under the impression LA men are scared of her. The funny woman tweeted at the time that while she was hoping for some action before leaving Los Angeles, she has doubt it would happen because “the men are so scared of me out here. Where the warriors at?!”, she wrote.
When Conan asked her why she thinks she’s not getting the attention she wants from men, despite her fame, Jones knows exactly what is “wrong” with her: “I’m six feet tall, I got a big mouth and I look like I might fight you! So…” and she nods her head in frustration.
The ideal man for Leslie Jones? “I like a dude that makes ME laugh”, the comedienne says, adding: “I like goofy men”, aiming to intimidate O’Brien.
Jones, the confident, “big-mouthed”, 6 ft. tall girl wasn’t laughing nor made anyone laugh at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Los Angeles, while attending the BET Awards. After the festivities, when returning to the hotel, something happened, something that bothered her enough to tweet that the Ritz Carlton “don’t like black people!” The hotel PR has since reached out to Jones to try and solve the problem.
