Vogue shared on Instagram a Celine Dion nude pic, taken in her fitting room, while changing attires in Paris, France, for a photo shoot. The post is meant to show the Canadian music star’s dedication to haute couture.

Sometimes fashion hurts. Not everything that is comfy looks good and not everything that looks good is comfortable to wear, on the contrary. Beauty requires sacrifice. This is the message that Vogue magazine seems to want to spread out through its recent post of the Celine Dion nude photo.

The 49-year-old music diva and mother-of-3 is crossing her arms and legs while sitting on a chair backstage, in her fitting room, in Paris, France, while touring Europe.

The singer looks stunning and could shame women just half her age. But the post goes deeper that just showing how aesthetics and youthful appearance don’t necessarily have to connect to the age in the ID.

“We have to make haute couture industrial”, Dion says. “Shoes—always heels, never platforms—are ordered one size smaller (she is normally a 38) and refitted with metal shanks”, Vogue’s post adds, showing how haute couture require sacrifice.

Vogue then evokes Celine Dion’s little black dress that she wore at the funeral of her husband and manager of a lifetime, Rene Angelil. “This LBD forces you to walk one foot in front of the other.”

And later on, the magazine shares on social media yet another photo of the singer, taken during a photo shoot at Place Vendome. This time she is wearing a sparkly whimsical mini-dress and the sparkly Victorian boots that we saw laying on the floor in the previous photo. “They might see my butt, but I don’t think they mind”, she says about the fans – and probably the paparazzi – that follow her around. “They see me; I don’t see them”, she adds.

"They see me; I don't see them," is Celine Dion's line on the great blob of paparazzi and fans that follows her everywhere. She gives them any picture they ask for, plus a great many more. Consider an appointment with at the house of Schiaparelli, where she poses for the creative director Bertrand Guyon on a window sill overlooking the Place Vendome. She wears a tiny whimsical dress of Swarovski chainmail re-embroidered with yet more crystals and high sparkly Victorian boots–a little Twiggy, a little Tina Turner. Says her dancer Pepe Munoz: "That's a rockstar!" Says Libby Hahn, who handles public relations for the house: "I am fairly certain she was a rockstar before she put on the dress." Says Celine's own longtime photographer Denise Truscello (a Canadian cinephile with her own rockstar style), thinking of the long lenses poised on the place below: "Is the dress pulled down in the back?" Says Celine Dion: "They might see my butt, but I don't think they mind." #CelineTakesCouture Photographed by @denisetruscello
