Pretty Little Liars star Brandon W. Jones has been sentenced to some jail time for gun threat. The actor received his sentence in a case developing since last year.
Brandon W. Jones, the actor that plays Andrew Campbell on Pretty Little Liars, threatened a neighbour with a gun during a quarrel in October 2015. In March 2016, he also pulled a knife at him during an intense argument. The incidents occurred in North Hills, California, where Jones’ girlfriend lives. In April 2016, Jones was arrested and brought to court.
After the arrest, the actor’s representative talked to the media, explaining that Jones pointed the gun at the neighbour in self-defence, because he was feeling threatened.
“It is our understanding that Mr. Jones was on his girlfriend’s private property, and that he and his girlfriend felt that they were under threat in a dispute with neighbors”, said the representative, adding that the gun was “fully legal and registered” and that it was not shot. “We are fully confident that Mr. Jones will be completely exonerated in this incident.”
It turns out that Brandon W. Jones was found guilty of one misdemeanor count of assault with a firearm, to which he pleaded no contest.
On Monday, August 28, the actor was sentenced to 180 days in jail, for which he received probation. However, he will have to do 30 days of community service and attend 26 classes of anger management.
Brandon W. Jones had recurrent roles on Lie To Me (2010 – 2011) as Liam, on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2011 – 2012) as Charlie Russell, on The Fosters (2013 – 12015) as Liam Olmstead and on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (2015 – 2016) as Brandon Yeagley.
His most memorable role is that of Andrew Campbell on the mystery series Pretty Little Liars, airing on ABC. In the series, he is a student at Rosewood High with two main love interests – Aria Montgomery and, before her, Spencer Hastings. He was trying to track down the Liars after they were abducted for the three weeks.
Pretty Little Liars wrapped-up in June, with the last episode premiering on June 27.
