First-time dad George Clooney opens-up about parenting twins and his latest directorial product, Suburbicon. The Hollywood star has managed to balance family life and work in a way he didn’t think possible just a few years ago.

George Clooney and his wife of three years, Amal, are first-time parents for a little less than three months. The 39-year-old human rights lawyer gave birth to twins Alexander and Ella Clooney on June 6.

56-year-old Clooney, who once said he was not the kind of man to become a husband and a father, seems to be doing pretty well in both categories. “I just have to clean the barf off of my tux,” he says. “It used to be my barf but now it’s the twins’ barf. So it all works out.”

And since he’s got the family thing all figured out, all that remains is to focus more on his latest directorial gem, Suburbicon. The movie, which tells the story of the racial tensions in the suburbia of the 1950s, stars Matt Damon, Julianne Moore and Oscar Isaac.

“I last week screened it for my good friend Norman Lear. When it was over, he looked over and said, ‘This is the angriest film I’ve ever seen’”, George Clooney told the Associated Press, confirming himself that it is, indeed, an angry film. “The main idea of the film was to pick some fights and I always like picking fights”, he added.

Suburbicon is Clooney’s sixth movie as a director and he says he doesn’t have plans of returning in front of the camera too soon. “I’m in an interesting place in my life. I’m acting almost never — for a lot of reasons, mostly because I don’t have any great interest in it”. He explains that the lack of good scripts made him uninterested in acting, mentioning Michael Clayton (2007) and The Verdict (1982) as movie types he would make a comeback for. “And if you’re not going to get those, there’s no real point at this point in my career.”
