Madonna announced via Instagram that she will be moving to Portugal to work on her new movie Loved, and on new music.
The 59-year-old diva is changing the United Kingdom for a sunnier territory. She has revealed, on social media, that she has moved to Portugal, a country with an “inspiring” energy. “I feel very creative and alive here and I look forward to working on my film LOVED and making New Music!!! ??🇵🇹. 🎼🎤🎬🎥. This will be the next Chapter in My Book! 📚📕📚📕📚??
It’s time to conquer the world from a different vantage point!! 🌏🎉🌈🙏🏻”.
And later, she posted a photo of numerous baskets hanging own from the kitchen ceiling. “I used to be a basket case but now I Live in Lisbon”, the musician captioned the photo.
Lisbon will be Madonna’s cradle of inspiration for new music and a new movie. Her music projects include the release of a DVD and a CD of her live Rebel Heart Tour, which is set to be released on September 15.
As for her movie project, the 59-year-old is working on putting on the big screen the adaptation of the novel The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells, written by Andrew Sean Greer. The movie, which will be titled Loved, “touches on a lot of really important topics I’ve always been invested in or championed — fighting for women’s rights, gay rights, civil rights, always fighting for the underdog”, the singer and film director told Harper’s Bazaar back in January. “I’ve always felt oppressed. I know a lot of people would go, ‘Oh, that’s ridiculous for you to say that”, she added, explaining: “I’ve created a very unconventional family. I have lovers who are three decades younger than me. This makes people very uncomfortable.”
