Mark Salling has pleaded guilty in his child porn case. The actor was charged with two counts of child pornography.

On December 29, 2015, actor Mark Salling was arrested after cops found thousands of images of “child sexual exploitation” on his computer. He was reportedly “shocked” by the cops’ raid and got a lawyer immediately.

According to TMZ, it was Salling’s former girlfriend who told the police about the child porn.

Investigators have revealed that the images on Salling’s computer were of children significantly younger than 15.

This is not the first lawsuit in which the actor is facing sex-related charges. Back in 2013, he was accused by a woman of forcefully trying to have sex with her without using protection. Charges fell under sexual battery, but he denied them. The case was settled outside the court.

This time, the former Glee star is facing between 4 and 7 years behind bars. Once he pleaded guilty for possession of child pornography, he reduced significantly the initial length of the sentence, which could have gone up to 20 years in jail. As things are now, he could spend 7 years in prison, with 20 years probation.

More of the aftermath:

  • He needs to register as a sex offender
  • He must enter a treatment /rehabilitation program
  • He is forbidden any contact, verbal or electronic, with people under the age of 18
  • He is to stay 100 feet away from schools, parks, public swimming pools, youth centers, playgrounds and arcades
  • He must pay $50,000 in restitution to each victim

35-year-old Mark Salling is best known to the wide audience for his role of Noah Puckerman on the TV series Glee. He has also appeared on Children of the Corn IV: The Gathering (1996) and The Graveyard (2006).

At the time Salling was on the cast of Adi Shankar’s Gods and Secrets. As a result of the charges, he was fired.
