Comedy star Kevin Hart and his wife Eniko held the baby shower for their upcoming bundle of joy amid the sex-tape scandal gravitating around Hart’s name for the past weeks.
Kevin Hart and his wife Eniko organized a safari-themed baby shower on Sunday, October 1, at the Calamigos Beach Club in Malibu. With the occasion, the couple revealed the name they have chosen for their baby boy: Kenzo.
Guests enjoyed the safari atmosphere – the place was decked out in leopard print, featuring safari animal pictures – and the Kenzo gifts they had won during the party.
According to TMZ, the couple paid $118,000 for the event.
For that day, at least, the couple put aside the scandal which involves a sex tape and Kevin Hart’s name since last month.
It all started when hart received an anonymous call asking for a substantial sum of money in return for a sex tape of Hart and a woman, later identified as Montia Sabbag. Multiple reports confirm Hart was asked for a 7-figure number.
The video is thought to have been recorded with a iPhone placed next to an object in the room, for support. Hart did not know, nor did he give consent for the filming.
The FBI got involved in the case from its earliest stages.
On September 20, attorney Lisa Bloom, who represents Sabbag, said that her client was accused of being the extortionist. She denied her client would be behind it, but said she had an idea who they might be and would share the information with the police.
Sabbag and Bloom will meet with the investigators on Wednesday, October 4. Meanwhile, the investigation is focused on using the call records to identify the extortionist. So far, there are several people connected to the plot.
Kevin Hart, 38, and Eniko Parrish got engaged in August 2014, after five years of dating. They tied the knot in August 2016. The couple announced they were expecting in May.
