This Halloween, actress Kristen Bell dressed up as Elsa, just like her daughter, but looks totally unhappy. We’re not sure what it is: the theme, the dress… some sibling rivalry… all we know is she looks like she’s about to burst into tears.
Kristen Bell looks like a scolded kid who doesn’t like her Halloween costume, but has to wear it, in her latest Instagram picture. “When your daughter demands you BOTH be ELSA for Halloween…you GRIN AND FORKING BEAR IT #halloween”, she captioned the photo.
Bell’s daughter, Lincoln, is 4 and she loves Elsa, the Snow Queen. Which does not make Kristen too happy, seeing that she borrowed her voice to another character in the movie, little sister Anna, in the 2013 animated movie. Idina Menzel voiced Elsa.
Last week, Kristen talked about her daughter’s costume and her vain efforts to try and make her like Anna more, in an interview with USA Today.
“Despite how hard I tried, we’re not an Anna family”, the 37-year-old admitted. “Sad but true”. She added that Lincoln does not care about Anna of Arendelle. “Anytime the word Halloween comes up she wants to put on her Elsa dress and her gloves. The gloves are a very big deal”.
Frozen premiered in 2013 and was a big hit, with kids all over the world play-pretending to be Elsa and singing the famous song “Let It Go”. But Lincoln missed that start. “I even told her, ‘You are four years old. You are supposed to have your finger on the pulse, you’re two years too late to be doing this”, said Bell.
Kristen Bell will voice Princess Anna once again, in the upcoming sequel, Frozen 2, which will premiere in November 2019. The actress started recording just last month.
