Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey call off divorce proceedings, which started last year in November. The two have been married for two years.
Former Glee star Naya Rivera filed to dismiss her divorce from her husband of two years, actor Ryan Dorsey. The filing is dated Friday, September 27.
The 30-year-old actress filed for divorce in November 2016, asking for sole custody of the couple’s son, Josey, who, at that time, was 14-months-old.
In April, Rivera got candid about the relationship with her estranged 34-year-old husband Ryan Dorsey and their co-parenting plans. “It’s always going to have its challenges logistically, but Josey is our priority”, she revealed to Momtastic, concluding: “We’re his parents.” She added that this approach on their current family situation “alleviates some of the drama. Doing what’s best for Josey is really what it all boils down to.”
One month later, Rivera was seen getting cozy in Hawaii – and later in Los Angeles – with actor David Spade. She never really commented on what was caught through the lenses of the paparazzi, but she did leave a fun reply on Instagram.
Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey first dated in 2010, but split that same year. Four years later, after Rivera broke her engagement to rapper Big Sean, they resumed their romance and got married in July 2014, in Mexico. Their son Josey was born in September 2015.
In her memoir, “Sorry, Not Sorry”, Naya Rivera revealed that soon after the first split from Dorsey, she found out she was pregnant and she had the pregnancy terminated. She also writes that she has always been in love with Dorsey. “I have always kept a flame for him. In between boyfriends or whatever, if I was single for a minute, I would always answer his emails and go see him.”
