Carrie Underwood revealed that she is currently recovering from surgery. The country music star sustained serious injuries after an accident at her household.

Last Friday, Underwood’s representative was announcing that the singer suffered “a hard fall” at her home. “On Friday night, Carrie Underwood took a hard fall on some steps outside her home”. Underwood sustained severe injuries including “a broken wrist and some cuts and abrasions from the fall.” And while they were not life-threatening, she was rushed to the hospital asap.

A couple of days later she posted on Twitter, thanking people for the concern and adding bravely that she would be alright, even though it might take some time.

“Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody…I’ll be alright…might just take some time…glad I’ve got the best hubby in the world to take care of me.”

On Wednesday, November 15, Underwood gave an update on her health state. She tweeted that she had surgery on her wrist the day before and that things went well. “I just wanted to let everyone know that I’m doing great”, she said, adding: “I’ll be setting off airport metal detectors from now on”. She also thanked her doctors and the medical staff that took care of her, as well as family and friends, who stood by her.

Husband Mike Fisher took to Instagram to thank his followers for the support. “Thank you all for the tremendous love and support for Carrie over the last few days”, he wrote.

Thank you!
