Celebrities congratulate Prince Harry on his engagement to Meghan Markle earlier this month. The adorable couple has just announced the big news!

Prince Harry, 33, and his girlfriend of one year, American actress Meghan Markle, have taken their relationship from “official” to “official 2.0”. The Prince proposed to his 36-year-old belle earlier this November in London and …yes, she said yes.

The Palace has released a statement on Tuesday, November 27, reading:

“His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle”.

The lovebirds have made wedding plans for next year in spring and, as the statement mentions, they are currently living in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace.

Celebrities were quick to react to Markle’s engagement to the Prince.

“Congratulations to my TV daughter Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on the news of their wedding engagement”, tweeted actor Wendell Pierce. “Harry you have her TV Father’s blessing. Robert Zane approves”

Her partner in the Suits series, Patrick J. Adams, posted a series of tweets, some funny, some emotional.

“She said she was just going out to get some milk… “, Adams tweeted with the share of a link on Markle’s engagement news.

He later wrote: “Playing Meghan’s television partner for the better part of a decade uniquely qualifies me to say this:”

Piers Morgan, Busy Phillips, Leona Lewis, Billy Eichner, Khloe Kardashian, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Gad and Ellen DeGeneres are only a few of the celebs who sent the couple their best via social media.

Probably the greatest surprise came from former U.S. President Barack Obama, who tweeted: “Michelle and I are delighted to congratulate Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their engagement. We wish you a lifetime of joy and happiness together.”

The Suits star started dating Prince Harry in September 2016 and they have confirmed it in November. Two months ago, Markle opened-up for the first time about her romance in an interview for Vanity Fair.
