Over the weekend, actor Donald Glover revealed he and his girlfriend welcomed baby no. 2. The Atlanta star confirmed it during a statement to ET.
Donald Glover has recently become a father of two! The Atlanta actor revealed to ET, during FX’s TCA on Friday, that his girlfriend Michelle was “happier now”, that the baby was born. The info came in response of a very common question regarding Michelle – how she was.
“She’s great. She’s good. Baby’s born, so she’s happier now”, Glover said, confirming that he was now a father of two.
The 34-year-old actor/rapper made the announcement of his first born, coincidentally, on the evening of the Golden Globes, in January of last year. During his acceptance speech for the Best Actor in a TV Comedy or musical for his performance as Earnest “Earn” Marks on Atlanta, Glover shared with the world that he was a daddy since early 2016.
The actor used another high profile event to announce he and Michelle were expecting again. This time, it was the 69th edition of the Emmy Awards, in late May 2017.
Donald Glover is caught-up in several huge film projects at the moment. Aside from the Emmy-winning TV series Atlanta, on which he works together with his brother, Stephen, he is directing the upcoming blockbuster Solo: A Star Wars Story. Back in September 2017, when he was in talks about directing the movie, he expressed doubt on his ability to rise up to the expectations. “I would be honored, but it’s a big plate, its a big plate. That’s a buffet plate”, he was saying at the time, adding: “I don’t know if I’m ready for that yet.”
The Lion King is yet another big project that Glover is a part of. Or, better said, the main part of, as he is cast as the main character, Simba, in the live action premiering in July 2019. The cast also famously includes Beyoncé in the role of Nala, Simba’s love interest.
