Andy Cohen spoke recently about the feud between SJP and Kim Cattrall, defending the first against the last’s accusations of exploiting her personal loss for restoring her image.

Real Housewives reunions moderator Andy Cohen told TooFab on Monday, February 12, that what his thoughts were regarding the tension between former Sex and the City co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall.

A friend of Parker’s, he stood up for the actress, saying he believed that there was “only one person fighting” and that was not Parker.

Referring to the Instagram post that Cattrall made over the weekend, he said at first he thought it was fake. “I was like, ‘There’s no way Kim Cattrall has posted this on her Instagram.’”

He thought about it over the weekend and came to the conclusion that SJP had a reasonable, normal reaction to an Instagram post of a person she was following. “Well, she follows Kim on Instagram, Kim posted about her brother dying, and she expressed her condolences on the post”, Cohen’s thoughts were.

It is true that before offering her condolences directly to Kim, SJP commented on the tragedy at the night screening of her show Divorce, at NYC’s Paley Center for Media, on Friday, February 9.

She told Extra: “I can’t begin to know how her family is managing such a loss.” She continued: “We all send her our love and condolences and grant her the privacy that she’s asked for.”

Cattrall announced the death of her brother Christopher last week, after he had gone missing a week prior.

The cat fight between the two ladies has started last year, soon after Cattrall, who famously played Samantha on Sex and the City, pulled out from the third movie, leaving fans and her other co-stars irritated.

SJP commented on Cattrall’s decision to not sign for a third Sex and the City movie in a way that Cattrall thought was offensive.

Since then, however, talks for the third installment have been reprised, with Sharon Stone’s name coming up as a possible replacement.
